These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Transfera. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using this platform you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About us
Transfera is operated by SB Marketing Limited, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). We are an independent online educational preparation platform providing SEAG-style and 11 Plus-style practice materials for the Northern Ireland transfer test. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to SEAG, AQE, GL Assessment, any grammar school, or any official examination authority in Northern Ireland or elsewhere. All content is original and independently created.
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Transfera you confirm: (a) you are at least 16 years of age, or (b) you are a parent or legal guardian creating an account on behalf of a child under 16 and you accept these Terms on their behalf. If you do not agree to these Terms you must not use the platform.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@transfera.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not share your account with any other person.
4. Child accounts and parental consent
Children under 16 may only use Transfera through an account created by a parent or legal guardian. By creating a child account the parent or guardian:
- Confirms they are the child's parent or legal guardian;
- Provides explicit, informed consent for the child's personal data to be processed as set out in our Privacy Policy;
- Accepts full responsibility for the child's use of the platform;
- Acknowledges that consent is recorded with a timestamp and IP address for audit purposes under UK GDPR Article 8.
Parental consent may be withdrawn at any time by emailing privacy@transfera.co.uk. Withdrawal will result in permanent closure of the child's account.
5. Subscriptions and payment
5.1 Plans and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We use Stripe to process all payments. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until cancellation.
5.2 Free trial
New subscribers on paid plans receive a 7-day free trial. No payment is taken during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee automatically.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Account Settings or our billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until that date. We do not provide refunds for partial monthly billing periods.
5.4 14-day cooling-off right (annual plans)
If you purchase an annual subscription you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To exercise this right and receive a full refund, email billing@transfera.co.uk within 14 days of purchase. This right does not apply once you have streamed or downloaded substantial content, or after 14 days have elapsed.
5.5 Price changes
We will give you at least 30 days' written notice of any price increase. The new price applies from your next renewal date. If you do not wish to continue at the new price you may cancel before that date.
5.6 Failed payments
If a payment fails we will notify you by email. Access may be suspended until payment is made. We will attempt to collect payment up to three times over seven days before cancelling your subscription.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the platform solely for your own personal educational preparation. No other rights are granted. No content may be reproduced, resold, or used for commercial tutoring without our written consent.
8. Educational disclaimer
Transfera provides original practice materials for preparation purposes only. We make no warranty, representation, or guarantee that use of the platform will produce any particular result in the Northern Ireland transfer test, improve academic performance by any specified amount, or increase the likelihood of admission to any grammar school. All such outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform is limited to the total subscription fees paid by you in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for: loss of data; loss of profits, revenue, or business; loss of anticipated savings; indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including consumer protection rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.
11. Availability and maintenance
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend the platform temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, or security reasons. Where planned maintenance will cause significant disruption we will provide advance notice by email where reasonably practicable.
12. Third-party links and services
The platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites. Linking to a third-party site does not constitute our endorsement of it.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you materially breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time via Account Settings. Upon termination your licence to use the platform ceases and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. Any dispute shall be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland. If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. We are committed to resolving disputes informally in the first instance — please contact us at legal@transfera.co.uk.
15. Changes to these Terms
We will notify you by email at least 14 days before making material changes to these Terms. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the platform and may cancel your subscription for a pro-rata refund.

Independence from examination authorities
Transfera is an entirely independent commercial platform operated by SB Marketing Limited. We have no affiliation with, and are not approved, endorsed, or authorised by:
- SEAG (Selecting Excellent Academic Grammar)
- AQE (Association for Quality Education)
- GL Assessment
- Any grammar school in Northern Ireland
- The Education Authority Northern Ireland (EA)
- The Department of Education Northern Ireland (DE)
The Northern Ireland transfer test is administered independently by SEAG and AQE. Transfera creates entirely original practice content in the general style of these assessments for independent preparation purposes only.
No guarantee of outcomes
Use of Transfera does not guarantee any particular result in the Northern Ireland transfer test, nor does it guarantee or increase the probability of admission to any grammar school. Academic results depend on many individual factors including the child's ability, wellbeing, and performance on assessment day.
Original content
All questions, worked solutions, and educational content on Transfera are entirely original and created independently by our content team. No content is reproduced from actual SEAG, AQE, or GL Assessment papers. Any similarity to past examination questions is coincidental and arises from both drawing on the same general curriculum areas.
Not professional educational advice
Content on Transfera is for educational practice purposes only and does not constitute professional educational, psychological, or academic advice. For personalised guidance, we recommend consulting a qualified educational professional.
Content accuracy
We take care to ensure all questions and explanations are accurate. If you believe content contains an error, please report it to content@transfera.co.uk and we will review it promptly.
