Answer: 360. Multiply 24 by 15. A quick way is 24 times 10 is 240, and 24 times 5 is 120, and 240 plus 120 is 360.
2. What is three quarters of 20?
A. 15 B. 16 C. 12 D. 10
Answer: 15. One quarter of 20 is 5, so three quarters is 5 times 3, which is 15.
3. A film starts at 18:45 and lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. When does it end?
A. 21:15 B. 21:05 C. 20:15 D. 21:45
Answer: 21:15. Add 2 hours to 18:45 to get 20:45, then add 30 minutes to reach 21:15.
English questions
4. Which word means the same as brave?
A. courageous B. fearful C. weak D. quiet
Answer: courageous. Courageous and brave both describe someone who faces danger or difficulty without backing down.
5. Which word is spelled correctly?
A. necessary B. neccessary C. necesary D. necessery
Answer: necessary. It has one c and a double s. A handy reminder is that a shirt has one collar and two sleeves.
A verbal reasoning question
6. Cat is to kitten as dog is to which word?
A. puppy B. cub C. foal D. calf
